Second Grade

Green Pod

 I am very excited to be your son or daughter's teacher this year. This my second year at John Trumbull Primary School. I went to Watertown Public Schools as a student and am a proud graduate of Watertown High School. I am delighted to return to Watertown as a second grade teacher.

This will be an educational and fun-filled year. I look forward to working with you and your child to make second grade a big success.

  Friday- Art (bring a smock to keep at school)

Homework

Students will be responsible for completing homework on Monday, Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday nights. Homework packets will be sent home at the beginning of each week. The packet will include a variety of mathematics, spelling, reading or writing assignments.

Homework for This Week:

    Monday: Adding Tens P 4-1 (front) and PS 4-1 (back)  

    Tuesday: Spelling Story - write a story using at least 6 spelling words and illustrate

    Wednesday: Adding Tens and Ones P 4-3 (front) and PS 4-3 (back)

    Thursday: Spelling Sentences

    Friday: Have a wonderful weekend! Don't forget to READ.

Transportation

If your child's regular transportation changes, the school must be notified with a written note or phone call.

Folders

Your student should bring home his or her green John Trumbull home/school folder everyday and return it to school everyday. This folder will be used for correspondence between home and school. Notices and homework will be transported in this folder on a daily basis. All students will be responsible for emptying their folders each morning and collecting notices from their mailboxes at the end of each day. Please put any notes that need to come to school in this folder.

Lunch

Our class will have lunch at 11:45 – 12:10. Children can purchase lunch for $ 2.75 per day. Also, a weekly lunch ticket will be for sale on Monday mornings ($ 13.75 per week). Please make all checks payable to the Watertown Hot Lunch Program.
