Ms. Silvestri's Classroom Management My classroom management system is based around good choices. If I have to speak to a student once about something that he or she should not be doing, they receive a verbal warning. If I speak to the child a second time, they receive a red card. However, they also have the opportunity to earn it back and turn in their red card! If they receive three red cards, a note goes home and must come back signed. Our sight word for the week is this. We will also be talking about poems and posters, sound position, word blending, and beginning/middle/end! I will introduce our robust vocabulary words as well. (moans-anxious-huddle) Math:     We have ventured into Chapter 4 of our math program. In this chapter we are finishing up review of numbers 0-10 and ordinal numbers.  Science/Social Studies/Second Step: We have been working on holidays for social studies this month, as well as in our literacy centers.           HOMEWORK POLICY Homework will be sent home twice a week. Please return it the following school day, as I will be keeping track of work handed in. REMINDERS AND IMPORTANT DATES:  December 18th-Pajama and Polar Express Day December 22nd-Holiday Party-*I am all set with help for our party. Thank you so much!
