We predict what might happen. We retell the story remembering the character, setting, and plot.             MATH Our first chapters in Math review addition and subtraction rules and facts. We use the Doubles Facts and Facts of Ten to help us add and subtract. It is important to memorize the number facts! They are a neccessary "tool" in learning other Math skills. Please practice your number facts every day. You can practice these facts by making flash cards and having someone at home quiz you. Why don't you begin with these addition facts? Doubles Facts: 1+1=2     2+2=4      3+3=6   4+4 = 8     5+5=10   6+6=12   7+7=14   8+8=16    9+9=18 Facts of 10: 1+9=10   9+1=10   2+8=10   8+2=10    3+7=10   7+3=10    4+6=10    6+4=10   5+5=10                         SPELLING   A real challenge is not just learning the words from the spelling lesson but using these spelling words and sounds correctly in all of our written work!               SCIENCE                 Social Studies  You're not just anybody. You're special.                   Homework Homework is an important part of the school's educational program. It provides an opportunity for independent practice and reinforcement of subjects which have already been taught. Homework is given daily and will be recorded on the blue assignment sheet.  The curriculum will be reinforced nightly in a variety of activities. Some independent reading is expected every night.
